12 days of scouting stocking stuffer giveaway

‘Tis the giving season, and I'm excited to share that I'll be giving away all 11 stocking stuffers from this list plus a subscription to Boys' Life magazine to celebrate the Twelve Days of Scouting. Twelve Cub Scout Ideas readers will each get one of the items.

What's the Twelve Days of Scouting, you ask? Well, it's a parody song, and you can find my version of the lyrics below.

It's also a giveaway where twelve lucky Cub Scouts will win one of the stocking stuffers!

How the Giveaway Works

Over the next twelve days, you can enter to win one of these cool Cub Scout stocking stuffers.

Every morning from December 1st through December 12th, I'll share the stocking stuffer of the day by adding it to this post, tweeting about it, and sharing it on my Facebook page

When you know what the stocking stuffer of the day is, leave a comment with the date and the stuffer of the day. You can enter once a day.

I'll ship the prizes to the winners in time for Santa to put them in your Cub Scout's stocking.

Twelve Days of Scouting Lyrics

On the first day of Christmas
my true love gave to me
A Cubmaster swinging from a tree

On the second day of Christmas
my true love gave to me
Two Derby cars
and a Cubmaster swinging from a tree

On the third day of Christmas
my true love gave to me
Three Cub Scouts
Two Derby cars
and a Cubmaster swinging from a tree

On the fourth day of Christmas
my true love gave to me
Four busy Den Chiefs
Three Cub Scouts
Two Derby cars
and a Cubmaster swinging from a tree

On the fifth day of Christmas
my true love gave to me
Five We-Be-LOS
Four busy Den Chiefs
Three Cub Scouts
Two Derby cars
and a Cubmaster swinging from a tree

On the sixth day of Christmas
my true love gave to me
Six bears a' sleeping
Five We-Be-LOS
Four busy Den Chiefs
Three Cub Scouts
Two Derby cars
and a Cubmaster swinging from a tree

On the seventh day of Christmas

So, there's our theme song for our celebration!

What's the Stocking Stuffer of the Day?

Each day from Tuesday, December 1st through Saturday, December 12th, I'll reveal the Stocking Stuffer of the Day. You'll need that information to enter the giveaway.

You can find out a bit more about all the stocking stuffers here.

Day 1 – Paracord Bracelet Kit

This is the perfect paracord starter kit! It comes with the paracord and buckles to make 10 bracelets.

Day 2 – Cap Light

What Cub Scout doesn't want to turn their cap into a beacon? 🙂 Seriously, a cap light is great when you need light but also need to use your hands.

Day 3 – Compass

Every Cub Scout should know how to use a compass! And the best way to learn is by practicing with your very own compass.

Day 4 – SlapLit LED Bracelet

Now, these look super fun! They're slap bracelets, which are cool just by themselves. But, they are also an LED light. Cub Scouts can easily be seen around your campsite when they're wearing one of these.

Day 5 – Grumpy Old Bear Kids Card Game

Pack this deck of Grumpy Old Bear cards the next time you go camping. Have fun with this campground twist on old Maid by playing Grumpy Old Bear!

Day 6 – Swiss Army Knife

Every Cub Scout should have a Swiss Army knife, but after they have earned their Whittling Chip (at least, for most Scouts!). They make perfect stocking stuffers! I made this bonus #11 because the knife is over $10.

Day 7 – Spork

Why carry three eating utensils when you can carry just one? This handy “spork” is a spoon, fork and a knife all in one.

Day 8 – Carabiner Mug

This carabiner mug stocking stuffer is at the top of the coolness chart. The kids can take it on camping trips so they won't have to use disposable cups.

boys' life magazines
Day 9 – Boys' Life Magazine Soon to be Scout Life Magazine, every Cub Scout should have a subscription.

Day 10 – Knot Tying Cards

These knot reference cards will be great to have on hand for your Cub Scouts to use when they practice tying knots. Keep them at home, take them on a road trip and pack them in your camping gear. The Scouts will be able to practice their knots just about anywhere!

Day 11 – Fire Starter

How do you start a fire without matches? Use one of these handy fire starters.

Day 12 – Hand Crank Flashlight

Charging your flashlight by turning a crank is definitely cool when you're on a Cub Scout campout!

This hand crank flashlight doesn't need batteries because it's powered by cranking it. My electrical engineer husband tried to explain to me how this works, but I still don't totally understand. 🙂

How Do I Enter?

Entering is simple! When you know what the stuffer of the day is, simply leave a comment with its name and the date.

You can enter once a day.

The giveaway ends at 11:59 pm on Saturday, December 12th. Early on the morning of Sunday, December 13th, I'll randomly pick twelve winners. Each winner will get one of the stocking stuffers.

I'll email the winners. They'll have until noon central time on Monday, December 14th to respond with their shipping address. If any of the winners don't respond by then, I'll pick another winner.

I know this is a very short response time, but I want to make sure I can get the prizes to the winners in time for Christmas!

Good luck!

Yours in Scouting,
Sherry
