Other Ways to Save Money

If you need supplies for a Cub Scout activity or project, ask at Lowes and Home Depot. Both have given us discounts in the past.

Many attractions such as theme parks, museums, zoos, roller skating rinks, bowling centers, etc. offer group rates for Scouts. Give them a call and ask. In fact, if you're paying admission for your Scouts, ask for a discount. When we took our Scouts to a high school basketball game, the school gave free admission to all of our Scouts in uniform.

Check Groupon for local deals too. Sometimes, the Groupon rate may be less than the discounted rate.
