Reading Boys' Life

“There's an app for that”  Yes, Boys' Life magazine now has an app!

Be sure to read my top 10 reasons why Cub Scouts should have a Boys' Life magazine subscription!

Available for both iPhone/iPad and Android devices, the app offers a mobile version of our Cub Scouts' favorite magazine to current subscribers.

Simply download the app and follow the directions to enter some basic information from the mailing label on your magazine, and you'll have free access to all the issues published since your child first became a Boys' Life subscriber.

Boys Life issues on the app

The first issue of Boys' Life was published on March 1, 1911, and almost all of the issues are available for purchase through the app!  For $4.99, you can get any issue that was published before your son's subscription started.

If you were a Cub Scout, wouldn't it be fun to download a couple of the issues from your tenure?  I wasn't a Cub Scout, but I'm going to buy some issues from the year I was born.

Do you know a Boy Scout who is about to earn his or her Eagle rank?  It would be cool for him or her to see some of the back issues of the magazine from his or her Scouting career.

What about a long-time Scouter who is being honored for their service to Scouting?  Let him or her know about the app too.

The app isn't just a place to read the magazine.  You can access most of the content that can be found on the Boys' Life website

Articles, fun stuff to do, buying guides, the book zone, and cool projects to make are just a few of things you can find on the Boys' Life app.

We can't forget the BL Arcade where our guys can play video games like Pedro's Nitro Derby, Philmont Mini-Bear Dash and Pee Wee's Basketball Madness.

Since these games are provided by the Boy Scouts of America, you know they're safe to play, even for our youngest Tigers.

Check out these screenshots from the app:

Our pack subscribes when we submit our applications to our council. I would imagine most scouts do it the same way. Is there a way for the council to use your link?
